Each month Chef’s shares delicious food and wine pairings from the different regions of Italy the family has visited. Dinners will include four food courses paired with three wines and coffee. A wine expert will present and discuss the highlighted region and the food and wine selected for the pairing.

Southern Italy consists of the following regions: Calabria, Puglia, Campania, Abruzzo, Basilicata. Known for its focus on lighter cuisine, you’ll find pastas with olive oil, spicy cured meats, and fresh seafood. We will highlight a few of the many popular dishes.

Sicily

Sicily represents the southern most area of Italy. If you ask many Sicilians they will say they are Sicilian not Italian. Here the focus of the cuisine is on seafood and light pastas, olive oil and citrus and briny foods. There are three regions but similar food are found in all the regions: Val di Mazara, Val di Noto, Val Demone.
